I've decided to revive this today because I was missing having a little art blog. Here's hoping you enjoy my art and reading about the process and methods of my painting. I'm not the best writer, but I'll bet I can at least catch your interest with my paintings and drawings.

After a few posts I'm sure you'll start to notice a theme here; my interests commonly lie in the femme fatale, the warrior woman. I find the combination of the female physique, beauty and deadliness very inspirational.

I've been working on this digital painting for the past few days. I got an idea to paint a harpy after I came across a photo of Tina Turner from 1977. She was in a gold outfit with big shiny wings. The pose itself was mainly where drew inspiration. Here's the progress so far:

The censor bar is a facade, I actually haven't painted her nipples yet. I've gotten most of the skin done and I'm working up to doing the hair and clothing (if she's even going to wear any). I'm unsure of the background yet, just did a mock up so I could see her in context.

I did some pencil sketches beforehand, but I am unable to upload them until later. I'll post more with progress and sketches soon.

Mythology has always interested me, especially the dark side. A winged-she-demon swooping down and snarling before she eats you couldn't been cooler.

There are many possibilities for this painting. I'm considering talons, scales, lightning and swirling hair. Maybe fangs and glowing eyes. We will see how this develops.

This is a painting I started in June and haven't been able to work on for a while. I also kind of took a break because I was getting frustrated with the pose a little. Anyway, I hope to make progress with this soon as well. I just thought I'd throw this in here as a little art bonus.
